Time to get serious.
ACTA has already been passed earlier today.
It gives our ISP (internet service provider) the right to pass logs of what we’re doing on the Internet, to the government.
We can’t stop this. It’s too late.
We worried about SOPA and PIPA. But this shit popped up out of nowhere.
And it isn’t just America this time. It’s over 30 countries.
SOPA/PIPA seemed like a huge distraction for what they were really doing.
This doesn’t just affect the internet. This also means that generic drugs may not be in use any longer, because it’s the same as something else. This means that certain seeds may not be used to plant crops in certain countries, because it belongs to another country.
The world thinks its time to try and make everything okay.
But I am not okay with this. And you shouldn’t be okay with this.

ACTA in a Nutshell –
What is ACTA? ACTA is the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement. A new intellectual property enforcement treaty being negotiated by the United States, the European Community, Switzerland, and Japan, with Australia, the Republic of Korea, New Zealand, Mexico, Jordan, Morocco, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, and Canada recently announcing that they will join in as well.
Why should you care about ACTA? Initial reports indicate that the treaty will have a very broad scope and will involve new tools targeting “Internet distribution and information technology.”
What is the goal of ACTA? Reportedly the goal is to create new legal standards of intellectual property enforcement, as well as increased international cooperation, an example of which would be an increase in information sharing between signatory countries’ law enforcement agencies.
